RE: TFC Jazz Band Performs at the Historic Ritz Theatre on March 6

Toccoa, GA – February 17, 2020 – The Toccoa Falls Jazz Band and Toccoa Jazz are going to make you “Jump, Jive, and Wail” on Friday, March 6 at 7pm at the Historic Ritz Theatre.

The TFC Jazz Band, directed by Yuri Henriques and Toccoa Jazz, a subset of the Toccoa Symphony Orchestra, directed by David Stufft, are once again joining forces to bring their “Jazz at the Ritz” performance to Toccoa.

TFC will be playing a wide variety of jazz styles and songs selected from a list of great standards including Cole Porter’s “You’d Be Nice to Come Home To,” and “What Is This Thing Called Love?,” Mongo Santamaria’s “Afro Blue,” and Duke Ellington’s “In a Mellow Tone,” “Caravan,” and “C-Jam Blues.” The Toccoa Jazz performance will feature swing favorites including “Jump, Jive, and Wail,” “American Patrol,” “Jumpin’ at the Woodside,” and much more.  The show closes with both bands performing together, “Without a Song” by Vincent Youmans and “Spain” by Chick Corea. This collaboration is always a crowd favorite.

Jazz at the Ritz is part of our regular Night at the Ritz concert series at the Historic Ritz Theatre. It is funded in part by generous grants received from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Georgia Council for the Arts. Admission is free for this Night at the Ritz performance. The public is invited and no ticket is required.
