Toccoa, GA June 28- Get your super hero fix this Thursday, July 1^st at the Historic Ritz Theatre at 10:00am & 7:00pm with Wonder Woman 1984.

Diana Prince lives quietly among mortals in the vibrant, sleek 1980s -- an era of excess driven by the pursuit of having it all. Though she's come into her full powers, she maintains a low profile by curating ancient artifacts, and only performing heroic acts incognito. But soon, Diana will have to muster all of her strength, wisdom and courage as she finds herself squaring off against Maxwell Lord and the Cheetah, a villainess who possesses superhuman strength and agility. The movie is rated PG-13 and stars Gal Gadot, Kristen Wiig, Chris Pine, and Padro Pascal.

RE: Week three of Summer movies at the Historic Ritz Theatre

Toccoa, GA June 21- You don’t have to go “to infinity and beyond,” just make a trip to the Historic Ritz Theatre on Thursday, June 24^th at 10:00am & 7:00pm to see Toy Story 4 as part of our Summer Movie Series.

Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and the rest of the gang embark on a road trip with Bonnie and a new toy named Forky. The adventurous journey turns into an unexpected reunion as Woody's slight detour leads him to his long-lost friend Bo Peep. As Woody and Bo discuss the old days, they soon start to realize that they're worlds apart when it comes to what they want from life as a toy. The movie stars the voices of Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Keanu Reeves, and Annie Potts.

July 1^st will bring Wonder Woman 1984 followed by SCOOB!, The Croods: A New Age, Tad the Lost Explorer and the Secret of King Midas, and Cats and Dogs 3: Paws Unite.

Toccoa, GA June 14- Be ready for lots of laughs on Thursday, June 17^th when the Historic Ritz Theatre presents the 2020 comedy hit The War With Grandpa at 10:00am & 7:00pm as part of our Summer Movie Series.

Peter and his grandpa used to be very close, but when Grandpa Jack moves in with the family, Peter is forced to give up his most prized possession: his bedroom. Peter will stop at nothing to get his room back, scheming with friends to devise a series of pranks to drive him out. However, grandpa doesn't give up easily, and it turns into an all-out war between the two. The movie is rated PG and stars Robert DeNiro, Uma Thurman, Christopher Walken, and Jane Seymour.

Our last movie in June will be Toy Story 4 followed by Wonder Woman 1984 on July 1^st.

Tribute to Perform at the June 19th Ida Cox Music Series

Toccoa, GA June 14, 2021 – The popular band, “Tribute”, a celebration of The Allman Brothers Band, will be the featured band at the Ida Cox Music Series on June 19 in downtown Toccoa. The evening’s concert is being sponsored by Dee Dee Dodd Arrowood at Keller Williams Lanier Partners.

The band is a powerful 8 piece group that faithfully recreates the music of one of the finest bands of all time. Since its founding in 2013, Atlanta-based TRIBUTE has earned a reputation as the source for the authentic ABB sound around Atlanta and throughout the Southeast. Rigged with vintage equipment, they interpret the Allman catalog in such a way that these songs written in the ‘60s and ‘70s come alive again.

If the band has learned anything from performing these songs, it is the realization that even though The Allman Brothers Band has shut down, their music maintains the same power over people just as it did 45 years ago. It is a phenomenon TRIBUTE gladly verifies every time they hit the stage.

Jackson Rogers will open the evening at 7:00 pm with the Tribute coming on at 8:00. X-Factor Grill and Linda’s Place will be open as well as some other food choices.

The concert will be held inside of the historic Ritz Theatre if it rains.

The Ida Cox Music Series, named after famed Toccoan Blues musician, Ida Cox, features free music in Downtown Toccoa every Saturday in June, July, and August. The music starts at 7:00pm and the series lasts until approximately 10:00pm each Saturday night. Bring a lawn chair to Downtown Toccoa and enjoy live music, food, and drink in a relaxing atmosphere.

TOCCOA, GA, June 8, 2021– The Ida Cox Music Series will welcome the return of the Vintage Vixens for its June 12 concert in downtown Toccoa.

The all-female Vintage Vixens will take its listeners back to the ’60 and ‘70’s. Inspired by 60s fashion, on stage these ladies look like the music—groovy, funky, hippie! The Vintage Vixen playlist includes covers of the biggest hits from The Mamas & the Papas, Wilson Pickett, Beatles, Rolling Stones, The Drifters,  The Monkees, Young Rascals, The Kinks, CCR, Motown  and more including some 70s favorites too, like Three Dog Night and Sly & The Family Stone. It’s a fun, family friendly hit fest of good time, sing along music!

Toccoa, GA June 4- We are moving “Onward” with our summer movie series on Thursday, June 10^th with Disney and Pixar’s Onward at 10:00am & 7:00pm at the Historic Ritz Theatre.

Teenage elf brothers Ian and Barley embark on a magical quest to spend one more day with their late father. Like any good adventure, their journey is filled with cryptic maps, impossible obstacles and unimaginable discoveries. But when dear Mom finds out her sons are missing, she teams up with the legendary manticore to bring her beloved boys back home. The movie is rated PG and stars the voices of Tom Holland, Chris Pratt, and Octavia Spencer.

Our Summer Movie Series will be every Thursday in June and July.  Finishing up in June will be The War With Grandpa and Toy Story 4.
