RE: The Historic Ritz Theatre Welcomes Mario the Maker Magician

Toccoa, GA – December 27, 2019 –Hailed by David Blaine as “the best kids’ magician in the world,” Mario the Maker magician will make a stop at the Historic Ritz Theatre on Friday, January 31st at 7:00pm.

More than just a performer, Mario is also an inventor who creates his own props. He is known for his dedication to the Maker Movement and STEAM initiatives and his integration of DIY electronics and robotics into his performance. It’s magic through the lens of the Maker Movement, a trend in which individuals or groups of individuals create and market products that are recreated and assembled using unused, discarded or broken electronic, plastic, silicon or virtually any raw material and/or product from a computer-related device. Throw in a healthy dose of hilarity and you have Mario.

He is a Buster Keaton and Charlie Chaplin for the modern age, with a mad inventor twist and has been featured on Sesame Street and Sprout. The show is ideal for ages 3-10 and their families and runs approx. 60 minutes, without intermission.
This performance is our ninth Night at the Ritz show of the season. It is funded in part by generous grants received from the National Endowment for the Arts and Georgia Council for the Arts. Tickets for all shows may be purchased online at www.ritztheatretoccoa.com, at the Toccoa Welcome Center, or at the box office day of show. Adult tickets are $10, children under 12 and students with an ID are $5.  Doors open at 6:15.

Toccoa, GA – December 2.   It’s beginning to sound a lot like Christmas. Country duo Wilson Fairchild is bringing their Christmas show to Toccoa for a Night at the Ritz performance on Saturday, December 7th at 7:00pm at the Historic Ritz Theatre.
