2017 Festival of Trees

Tocccoa, GA – November 14, 2017 –Once again this year, Main Street Toccoa is
working together with local businesses and organizations to help non-profits through the
Festival of Trees on December 1 - 2. This event, in its 10 th year, offers opportunities to
help raise money for the non-profits and charities in the community.

Businesses, civic groups, schools, individuals, families, or non-profit organizations are
invited to decorate and display a tree. The trees will be on display Thursday, November
30 from 8 am – 5 pm in the courtroom of the historic courthouse. They will also be open
for display on December 1 from 8 am – 8 pm. Voting will take place Dec. 1, 5 – 8 pm
and Saturday, December 2 from 12 pm – 4 pm. The public will vote on their favorite
Christmas tree for one dollar a vote. All proceeds will go to a non-profit organization
which is designated by the designer. The tree with the highest amount earned will receive
the Grand Prize of $500 for the non-profit organization they represent.

Small Business Saturday Takes Place on November 25, 2017

TOCCOA, GA, November 14, 2017- Main Street Toccoa is proud to once again participate in Small Business Saturday, an annual tradition that celebrates the local brick-and-mortar stores that makes a community unique and ready to do business.

Small Business Saturday will occur on Saturday, November 25, 2017, the Saturday after Thanksgiving. As part of this event, Main Street Toccoa encourages citizens to participate by frequenting their favorite downtown merchants and vendors.

To assist, Main Street Toccoa is providing a limited number of free Ritz Theatre event vouchers to businesses that will be open on Small Business Saturday. With a purchase on this Saturday, subject to participation, customers will receive a voucher good for any upcoming Ritz Theatre event (at least a $10 value), as well as a free concession item. Vouchers are redeemable at the Ritz Theatre the day of the show and must be surrendered upon attendance. Shows are subject to availability.
