RE: Request for Proposals for HPF Grant
TOCCOA, GA, September
19, 2017- The City of Toccoa is pleased to announce that it is now
accepting bids for the Historic Resources Survey, Phase II: Northwest Quadrant,
a project funded in part by the Historic Preservation Division, Georgia
Department of Natural Resources (HPD).
Qualified consultants are asked to submit bids for an
historic resources survey of approximately 500 resources in the City of Toccoa’s
Northwest Quadrant.
Sealed bids may be submitted to Christian Hamilton at the
Main Street office via mail or hand-delivered. No emailed bids will be
accepted. An official bid opening will take place on September 28, 2017 at 2pm
in the Third Floor Conference Room of City Hall.

The completion of Phase II of the citywide Historic Resources Survey will allow
the City of Toccoa to further understand its historic resources, as well as
work toward Category II of Certified Local Government (CLG) status.
This
Historic Resources Survey: Phase II: Northwest Quadrant has been financed in
part with Federal funds from the National Park Service, U.S. Department of
Interior, through the Historic Preservation Division of the Georgia Department
of Natural Resources. However, the contents, opinions, and recommendations
expressed in this Historic Resources Survey: Phase II: Northwest Quadrant do
not necessarily reflect the views or policies of the Department of the Interior
or the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, nor does the mention of trade
names, commercial products, or consultants constitute endorsement or
recommendation by these agencies. This program receives Federal financial
assistance for identification and protection of historic properties. Under
Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation
Act of 1973, and the Age Discrimination Act of 1975, as amended, the U.S.
Department of the Interior prohibits discrimination on the basis of race,
color, national origin, age, gender, or disability in its federally-assisted
